Barry Eppley Facelift Threatens My Survival
Modified Barium Swallow- Cosmetic surgery – face lift complication. This is the disastrous result of a revision face lift performed in 2001 by Dr. Barry Eppley,(Eppley Plastic Surgery) a board certified plastic surgeon in Indianapolis, IN. Patients are duped into his operations by his DEMEANOR.. as well as his outright lies. Even the most cautious patient can end up “butchered”, when all the information upon which you carefully base your consent to undergo surgery turns out to be lies. He will tell you anything you want to hear, just to sell you that operation.
When the Speech Pathologist says she sees an open airway, that is because I am pressing over 1 lb. continual external pressure to my neck with a wooden back scratcher (called the “device”). Photos appears on these links:

This speech …
This speech pathologist is horrible. She is very stupid, didn’t pay attention in her training and most likely had to give her professors blow jobs in exchange for passing grades as she obviously did not learn the required material. Next time, insist your DOCTOR do the swallow study and let this fraud of a speech pathologist concentrate on the only thing she knows which is sucking stranger’s dicks.

See the hand move …
See the hand move up to the neck? This pulling on the outside appears to open the airway. See the shoulders lift with inspiration? That’s exertion of accessory muscles of respiration. She can’t breathe. Her airway is NOT wide open.

The person …
The person supposedly helping you sounds vicious. She speaks to you in a very rude, uncaring manner. Here you go, someone in the health professional business and they treat someone in desperate need like that – disgusting!

This is not nerve …
This is not nerve damage. Spine is misaligned because the surgery prevented lifting my head to a neutral position from the day of the operation. I have been forced to keep my neck flexed for 7 years to breathe & swallow. There is no support to the floor of the mouth. Please visit my website if you are interested in the etiology of this condition. X-rays and medical reports are posted there. Thank you for your comment.

I don’t know …
I don’t know whether you have found the help that you are after. It would appear to me that there has been some damage to the recurrent laryngeal or CN5 or 9 nerves. This may be temporary, like a swelling around the nerves post-op, or permanent, as in nerves having been cut during the op. Also, look at your poor cervical spine! C5/6 is damaged and misaligned. The nerve from this spinal level helps control the diaphragm.

I am an RRT and see …
I am an RRT and see lots of x-rays. After viewing both of yours, it’s obvious that you have a serious upper airway problem as well as dysphagia. The anatomy is abnormal somehow, though I can’t put my finger on it. The tongue doesn’t elevate sufficient to initiate a swallow, but retracts to encroach the airway and at the same time, the soft palate collapses. You need an expert otolaryngologist to evaluate this ASAP.

Yeah I agree. The …
Yeah I agree. The airway is closed (around 00:43)and makes me want to slap that speech pathologist. I don’t trust Cosmetic Surgeons.
May 6th, 2009 at 11:49 am
Oh my god…I am so …
Oh my god…I am so sorry this happened to you. That speech pathologist was absolutely horrible. I am an x-ray technologist and I have never worked with a pathologist this horrible. I hope that you have gone to another hospital. I am not even a doctor and I can tell that your airway is closed. I really hope you get the help you need.

I just viewed this …
I just viewed this woman’s website and saw the paddle thing she used. She has to keep this pressed against her neck to breathe and swallow. How can doctors allow this to happen?
May 6th, 2009 at 11:49 am
It’s unfortunate …
It’s unfortunate that nobody has stepped forward to try to fix this issue, but it’s not as uncommon as some might think. Lucille is not alone. Many people find it hard to get other physicians to confirm that one of their brethren may have made a huge mistake. Also, patients who make multiple visits to the hospital or ask for a lot of tests tend to be viewed as hypochondriacs.
May 6th, 2009 at 11:49 am
Obviously cannot …
Obviously cannot elevate the tongue sufficient to initiate a swallow. More strange is use of accessory muscles of respiration. This person has 2 problems.. one physical and the other with medical tech or doctor.
