How to Get Rid of Black Circles Under Your Eyes
Puffiness or skin discoloration under the eyes affects just about everybody at some time or another. For some of us, however, these “bags” or “dark circles” are a near-constant bother. While these conditions are occasionally symptomatic of other illnesses, the usual cause is allergies, tiredness, or, unfortunately, heredity. No matter what the cause, you can still reduce the appearance of puffiness or dark circles, and in some cases, you may be able to get rid of them altogether.

Home Remedies: -

1. Cover the problem up with cosmetics. If all else fails, use a flesh-toned color which will camouflage the problem.

2. Put 2 tablespoons in the freezer for few minutes and apply on the eyes for few seconds, until they are warm. Re-apply if necessary.

3. Reduce salt intake. Excess salt causes the body to retain water in unusual places, and this can result in puffiness under the eyes. Too much salt can also impair your circulation, and cause the blood vessels under the skin to appear bluer.

4. Cutting onions will help you cry out some of the moisture under and around your eyes. However it isn’t recommended you carry out this procedure daily. This will reduce the darkness under the eyes.

5. Eat a healthy, balanced diet and drink plenty of water. A whole host of cosmetic problems can be attributed to vitamin deficiencies. Dark circles and puffiness are often attributed to lack of vitamin K or inadequate antioxidants. Be sure to get plenty of fruits and vegetables—especially cabbage, spinach, and other leafy green vegetables—and take a daily vitamin supplement if necessary. Get adequate fluids to improve circulation.

6. Try to relax the space. You can do this by wetting a cotton swab and then freezing it for a little while. Then you should gently wipe under your eyes in the areas where the circles are occurring. When wiping, close your eyes and try not to flinch.

7. Treat your skin while you sleep. There are overnight facial masques available that may help reduce the appearance of puffiness or discoloration, but you can also make your own. Just before you go to bed, take a washcloth and wet it just a bit with cold water. Then squeeze out any excess water and place it over your eyes as you sleep. Treating your skin may help, but the real problem may also be that you have a poor vitamin and mineral absorption problem that must also be corrected.

8. Using tea bags under your eyes straight afterwards also helps. Puffiness may not reduce immediately but will shortly afterwards

Recently i have lost a lot of weight and now i appear to have lines or wrinkles on my face can these go?

First of all, congratulations on losing the weight.

As to your question, yes, they will leave eventually. Surgery and things like botox might speed the process, but because they’re so costly and painful, and there isn’t a lot of information out there as to long term effects (which is important for you because you’re so young), they really aren’t a good idea.

What sort of food are you eating now? Depending on how you lost the weight, your body could really be crying out for a lot of nutrients it might be missing, which could keep your skin from tightening up. See your doctor and ask him or her to recommend a food plan that contains the necessary vitamins you should be eating, and in the meantime make sure you’re consuming lots of vegetables and fruits, especially raw.

The other possibility could be that you’re severely dehydrated. If you’re not drinking enough water, your skin isn’t able to retain it’s elasticity and “snap back” after losing weight. Make sure you’re getting your eight (yes, it’s a lot) glasses a day, and you should see improvement soon.

I'm 20 years old and I need a good eye cream. My collagen are still strong and firm. However I am starting to get fine line around the eye area. I've been looking for a very good eye cream but all seems to not match my age, they're too heavy for skin. Please help me, name of the product or a link where I can buy it. I just received Nutrimin C’s Re9 corrective eye cream in the mail today and I was wondering if it was alright to use on other parts of the face (besides around the eyes)? i.e-lines around mouth

The only reason I’m asking is because it contains Kojic acid, which is a lightening agent, and I’m wondering if this will cause skin discoloration when used anywhere else besides around the eyes.

I am positive that you should follow the instructions included with the product and use the product as it is intended. If the instructions say that it can also be used on other parts of the face, then you can. I say this assuming you haven’t read the instructions.

I am getting wrinkles on my neck and undereyes. Are there any changes I can make in the way I sleep to prevent more wrinkles? I am getting a Tempur Pedic pillow soon, would this help my case? Also, what creams can I apply to reduce wrinkles? Thank you.

try sleeping with a satin pillowcase. it will protect your hair and your skin. also, make sure you're drinking tons of water and wearing a moisturizer with at least 25 spf in it, even if you're not planning on spending a lot of time outside. keep your skin hydrated and you're good to go!

I was wondering if 19 is a good age to start using eye cream, my mom said that i'm too young and I don't need to, but my aunt said it's good to start using the cream early because it will prevent wrinkles. Any tips or advice?

Its never too early to start caring for your skin
at your age use a light weight eye cream like the original Olay
dont suntan in the sun or in a tanning bed
wear a suncreen on your face , ears, neck, chest, arms and hands ( adapt as needed for exposed area that day) of at least # 20 every day

I have deep lines around the sides of my mouth but my face is very oily and usually has some sort of breakout.

I am 31 and am looking for a really good eye cream for firming and wrinkle prevention. I tried a few but nothing has really impressed me yet. I am currently using prescriptives eye cream. I also don't want to spend $500 a jar. I'm a teacher not a millionaire!
